AI in purchasing: Expert to expert

‍Thomas, you are head of department at Central Purchasing: For which tasks do you use artificial intelligence and which AI tools do you use for this?

In my daily work practice, I use AI for the initial conception of framework agreements as well as internal ordering information and writing emails. By outsourcing these tasks, I can save a lot of time. I use ChatGPT, Microsoft Create and Hubspot as AI tools.

More time sounds fabulous. What other benefits have you had from using artificial intelligence?

The biggest advantage is saving time and simplifying tasks. In particular, research, the creation of extensive documents and suitable email templates can be completed much faster. The AI thinks of important details and is great when it comes to wording.

Especially on less creative days, AI can be a great help in these cases. Especially when it comes to the formulation of texts. Do you have a successful AI use case that you would like to share with us?

I've actually already been able to use artificial intelligence in a project. I had to create a sales strategy that aimed to convince management and buyers of potential companies. In addition to text generation, AI has also simulated the behavior of potential recipients from different industries.

It's really handy that AI can show us the target group's perspective. This makes contact targeted and ensures better results. Do you have any tips for AI beginners who haven't used AI yet?

In my opinion, you should acquire three basic skills: anonymizing data and queries to AI, communicating with artificial intelligence, and proofreading and interpreting the results.

Would you like to tell us what skills you were able to gain through the mytalents.ai courses? Are there still courses that you would like to take or that you would like to take?

Since taking the AI courses, I have a better understanding of how to communicate with AI in order to achieve the desired result. As a result, the use of AI in everyday working life has been able to develop its full potential. I would also like to take a look at the special AI courses for sales and marketing.
