An overview of the success story

Luca, thanks for giving us insights into your everyday work with AI. Which AI applications accompany you in your everyday life?

There are three tasks that I like to hand over to artificial intelligence. Writing and summarizing emails is now (almost) only done by AI — although I like to take a look at them in the end, of course. I also have team meetings summarized and texts translated into English. I prefer the co-pilot in Excel, which automatically assigns suitable formulas to tables, for example.

Which AI tools do you like to use the most?

As mentioned earlier, I use Copilot for Excel and other Office programs. I work with Deepl to translate texts and ChatGPT 4.0 is my favorite for efficiently searching for information and querying opinions/trends.

Sounds like you've given some work steps to the AI. Would you like to introduce us to your most successful AI use case from everyday work?

I was faced with the hurdle of presenting personnel data in Excel in such a way that the personnel reserve is created and employees are organized into different groups. So I formatted the data as a table and the AI — when my prompts were correctly formulated — added appropriate formulas to the columns. The result was: 1. A vacation accrual amount that was easy to understand and document. 2. An evaluation of the salaries of men and women, including family planning (across the age range) numerically.

Wow, sounds like you've saved yourself a lot of time. What was the biggest advantage that you could find from using AI? Have you also faced challenges?

The biggest advantage is clearly the increase in efficiency. You're faster, you can say what you want. Unfortunately my license has just expired — I'm waiting for the extension — it could certainly save me 1 to 2 hours a week of time.

Phew, and the biggest challenge in the beginning was the prompt wording — sometimes it still is. It was originally not entirely clear to me that the wording was decisive for the quality of the result. The way to interact efficiently with AI took some practice.

You have already had experience working with AI. Do you have any tips for AI beginners?

Interacting with AI should be practiced a lot. It's a bit different than a Google search and again no human communication/interaction. You should also determine where it really makes sense to use AI. And the third and most important tip for me is to check whether and which data you can use, and if there are restrictions, you should carefully consider using it.

Which mytalents.ai course has helped you the most? Were you able to expand your skills through the courses?

With the courses “How do I talk to AI? ”, “Excel,” “Outlook,” and “Teams,” as well as “What can AI do? “I was able to create a good foundation for the AI application. From there, I got off to a good start using artificial intelligence.

My biggest learning, on the other hand, was to find out that you should first think carefully about where to use AI. It doesn't make the same sense everywhere — but you have to know that beforehand. But I'm still in the pioneering phase and I'm excited to see how my skills will develop.

Are there any other courses that you would like to take or would you like to see specific courses on the mytalents.ai platform?

Definitely the ChatGPT masterclass to discover even more use cases and “advanced prompting” to achieve even better results with AI. I would like to see more specific examples of “How I use AI in Controlling.” So that I can save even more time.

Thank you for sharing your experience with artificial intelligence. Finally, would you like to tell us something?

I'd like to say thank you. I think the mytalents.ai courses are well done and they cover very interesting, helpful topics.
